Selling The Affiliate Scheme by D.Rhodes

It's quite a simple process:
1. Join an affiliate scheme.
2. Get your linking code.
3. Make a web page and put the code on it.
4. Wait for the cash to roll in.

Simple!....or is it?

You produce your pages, submit them to a search engine and....nothing!

You are probably falling down on more than part of the process.
Here is a quick guide that may (or may not!) help you along the way to an Internet based income.

1. Join an affiliate scheme:
Not all affiliate schemes are made the same. Look deeper before you decide to sign up. Ask yourself questions from a buyers point of view before you even start filling in the application form. Would I buy this product? Would I buy from this Company? Have I heard of this company? Is the product something I really need? The more negative responses you have the less likely anyone else would buy either. This could mean saving you hundreds of hours trying to promote the affiliate scheme with no results.

2.Make A Web Page and put the affiliate link on it:
Wait!!! Before your even start theres more than just making a web page any old how. Firstly, buy a domain name and proper hosting. Having a website which resides on a real domain is much better than trying to use free web space. Its looks more professional and wont be artificially crammed with extra advertising banners by the host. These extra banners and adverts are trying to steal YOUR generated traffic. With affiliate scheme promotion as competitive as it is, you need the full attention of any visitors you do manage to get. You want hem to see your hard work, not let them be stolen.
Before you even buy a domain name (not expensive at all!) give a thought to keywords you will employ on your site. For example, if you are promoting loans, then ensure your domain name employs that you do. A domain name www.ilikeicecream.com is no good if you are selling car loans!! There are many good sites details how to research keywords and phrases. I recommend your read these BEFORE even opening your web creation/coding software. (Search for SEO in and search engine for more material than you could ever read).

3.Wait for the cash to roll in:
You have got a good product, your own website, and have research and coded you website to include important keywords and key phrases. Time to wait for the cash to roll in. WRONG! If possible keep an eye on the traffic to your site. Getting a god host to begin with usually means you have a way to analysis traffic to your site, where they come from, what they searched for, etc. WATCH the traffic and see what it is doing.
MEANWHILE start your next project. Your new site may rank very well for anything up to a month, maybe two, but it WILL fall in traffic levels. When this happens you need a new site to take over. Have it built and start getting traffic to it as soon as possible. For real search engine savey lean how to link the two together properly to get even more traffic between your sites.

Making Money Online With Affiliate Programs by Tom Worsley

If you are like most work from home internet business owners you want your web site to be making you as much money as possible. The choice of affiliate programs that you choose to promote on your web site will determine how much money you actually make, and the options to you are endless. There are so many affiliate programs on the internet promoting almost everything imaginable its mind boggling.

Of coarse there is one major key to success. Stay relevant to your main web sites theme or subject matter. If for example you own a sports related web site and you add cosmetic and make up ads to it, chances are you are not going to do well. But if you put ads for health and fitness supplements on your sports oriented web site you may interest a few people into buying those products earning you a commission.

So if you have a work from home website were do you find good affiliate programs to join in order to earn commissions?

One of my top paying affiliate programs is Strong Future International. (SFI) Some of you no doubt have heard of SFI since thy have been around for quite a few years now And I have been an affiliate since November 1999. SFI products include everything from books magazines and business building tools to multivitamin supplements and all natural household cleaners. All can be promoted on your web site in order to earn commissions and make money online with your web site.

My next big commission generator is ClickBank. ClickBank is actually a directory of affiliate programs. People join ClickBank in order to promote their products online. Once they are in the ClickBank data base webmasters like you and me who are looking for good content and commissions from our web sites can join their affiliate programs and start earning money from sales generated. If you own a work from home site take a look at some of the products at the following web page CLICK HERE. OH and did I mention ClickBank sends out commission checks very 2 weeks!

Affiliate Fuel pays both for leads and products sold, meaning you can actually earn commissions simply by referring people to a specific site. All the person has to do is click on a link that you place on your website which is directed to a page with a form to fill out. The person fills out the form requesting more info and bingo you are credited with the referral and awarded a commission.

Websponsors is another affiliate program much the same as Affiliate Fuel. These cost per action affiliate programs are great for adding revenue to your bottom line through your web site.

Last but not least Google ad sense has become so popular among webmasters you can see their ads on every other web site that you visit. With google you put ads on your site and you are actually paid every time someone clicks on those ads. In one month last August I made over $500 from Google ad sense alone.

Of coarse none of the above mentioned affiliate programs will make you a single dime unless your site is generating significant targeted traffic. But if you are already generating good quality targeted traffic to your site give them a try. You will be surprised at just how easy it is to make money online with affiliate programs.

Seven Ways to Set Yourself Apart From Other Affiliate Marketers by DeAnna Spencer

Seven Ways to Set Yourself Apart From Other Affiliate Marketers
By DeAnna Spencer

Okay so youve read (fill in the blank with internet gurus name here)s book and decided that affiliate marketing is the way for you to earn some extra money online. I mean after all, all you have to do is plug in your name and run their ads and collect your commission check and ride off into the sunset, right? Not quite. With so many people promoting the exact same program as you, in the exact same ezines or on the exact same websites, you need some ways to distinguish yourself from the rest of the pack of affiliate marketers. Here are seven ways for you to do this.

1. Host Your Own Website.

I know I sound like a broken record, but it is absolutely essential for you to have your own website. For starters you can have a domain name that is easy to remember. I mean can you remember http://www.areallylongaffiliatemarketersurl.com/?pid=123/r=4(My apologies if that url actually belongs to someone, I just made it up on the spot for an illustration)? I didnt think so.

So if you cant remember it and its your url, what makes you think your potential customer is going to remember it. Do you know what they are going to do? They are going to just chop off the stuff at the end and type in the main domain name and purchase the product from the main site. However if you have your own url, you could have a url like http://www.yourdomain.com which is much easier to remember and you can just point your visitors to your affiliate page in your website.

2. Write Your Own Ads

Email the owner of your affiliate program and ask if you can write your own ads. Most of the time they will not have a problem with this, but you need to check with them first. A lot of times when I publish my ezine, I have published the same ad two or three times and I wanted to email the advertisers and say if only you had used your own ad. People become immune to ads after a while and if they see the same ads over and over again, they may just skip over it altogether. Your objective is to get people to click on your link and if your wording is different they just might stop and read your ad and be curious enough to click through to your website.

3. Have some products of your own that are only available through your website.

Once you have your website going, it is important to have some products or services that your customers cant find at your affiliate site. You want your customers to keep coming to your site and the best way to do that is to have something on your site that they cant find on the affiliate site.

4. Cultivate your own list.

Its much easier to sell to people that you have already built a relationship with. Thats one reason why it is important to build your own list. You may also be able to earn some money from your list in the form of advertising.

5. Buy the product you are marketing.

When you buy the product you are marketing, you can sell it better. You can tell the potential customer what a great experience you had with the product. This will make them interested enough to buy the product. You will also be able to provide support if necessary or write a tutorial on how to use the product that you are marketing.

6. Be totally honest

If you find out that the program you were promoting is a scam, stop promoting it and inform your readers about it. This will help you build credibility with your lists. We all make mistakes and admitting your mistake will boost your readers confidence in you.

7. Dont try to market everything you see.

With services such as clickbank, it is easy to become overwhelmed and try to market everything in the clickbank marketplace. That is not a good idea. Its better to focus on one market and market products that they would want. This is called niche marketing. The last thing you want to do is to bombard your subscribers with pitches for products. That is one surefire way to lose subscribers.

Affiliate marketing is definitely here to stay and it can become a great way to earn extra or even part time income. However, it wont happen overnight. Like everything else in life, youre going to have to put a lot of hard work into it. Good luck to you in your new venture.
